    Which wig stylesChoosing a wig...

    that compliments your face shape

Just like a haircut, different styles of wig will suit different face shapes. The brilliant thing is however, unlike a haircut, you can try on different shapes and colours of wigs until you find a style that really suits you. To help you narrow down the decision, we’ve put together this handy guide...

To determine your face shape use this technique:

Stand in front of a mirror & pull your hair back, then trace the outline of your face, with a bar of soap, onto the mirror. Compare the outlined shape on the mirror to the illustrations below:

Face shape triangle1 Triangle face shape

Narrow forehead with a wide chin

Try a full layered look or a curly wig style. A Heavy fringe and layers build fullness on top to soften a wider crown. Hair should be layered all around and tapered in the back and at the sides. To accentuate your eyes, try a style with a softly waved layered fringe that sweeps back at the temples.

Face shape square2 Square face shape

Angular jaw line same width as forehead

A short wig style that is wavy on top will suit you, as the wispy edges soften a wide forehead and strong jaw line.

    Face shape Oval

    3 Oval face shape

Well proportioned - face longer than width

Lucky you! You can try any wig style. A classic oval shaped face looks great with all styles. Why not try a long wig style with a few graduated layers around the face. Or a sweet pixie crop with a long fringe?

    Face shape heart

    4 Heart face shape

Wide forehead, high cheek bones & V-shape chin

A sweet short and smart elfin crop wig that is wedged or tapered at the neck will suit you. You could also try a long wispy fringe to softens a rounded and peaked forehead. Try long layers at the crown, graduated at the sides, and tapered at the nape of the neck.

    Face shape round

    5 round face shape

Full cheeks with a circular form

You have a great face shape to go for a long wig. Try a style with lots of soft curls, a layered style, or a classic page. Layers on top and longer length at the back will elongate your face.

    Face shape narrow

    6 Narrow face shape

Slender face with a narrow chin

Try a chic bob, or a wig with waves or soft curls on the top and sides. Look for styles that round out your face, or highlight your cheekbones.

    Face shape diamond

7 Diamond face shapeNarrow chin & forehead with wide cheekbones

Bobs work very well for this face shape. Avoid wearing height on top or volume on the sides. Use some fringe to cover a narrow forehead.
